SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – MC Companies is proud to announce their involvement with the Inaugural “Spike it For Autism” volleyball tournament in partnership with the Arizona Multihousing Association Autism Committee.

This fundraising event will benefit the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC), and Autism Speaks Arizona. Spike it For Autism is on November 11th, 2017 at Victory Lane Sports Complex in Glendale Arizona.

The tournament runs from 9AM – 5PM with 32 teams battling it out across eight sand volleyball courts. First place team receives a trophy to hold for one year, and will go down in history as the first team to win the tournament.

“As a committee, we were looking for creative ways to fundraise and spread autism awareness,” says Committee Chair, Michelle Sinclair. “This volleyball tournament is a great way to get the community involved. This event is open to the public, even if you aren’t part of the Arizona Multihousing Association, you can come on out and have some fun. Plus, All the proceeds raised from this event will go directly to Autism Speaks Arizona and SARRC.”

The AMA Autism Committee was created in 2014 to support the efforts and mission of Autism Speaks Arizona and SARRC. For the past three years, the committee has been a supporter, a fundraiser and a partner of both organizations.

“Each year, we have joined our colleagues at the Arizona Mulithousing Association to reach out to more people about autism awareness and grow our impact,” says Sinclair. “Our involvement with the AMA Autism Committee has allowed our team members to connect with our community. We know this volleyball tournament will be a powerful way to reach others, spread autism awareness and raise funds for these organizations.”

Registration for the tournament closes at midnight on November 10th so there is still time to join in on the fun. Pay for your team and sign up via EventBrite. In addition, there is a $6.00 gate entry fee per person at Victory Lanes with 50% of the entry fee going back to charity. The event is family friendly and will have food and drinks available for purchase.
