Corporate Initiatives

Autism

As of March 2023, the CDC disclosed that around 1 in 36 children in the U.S. have been diagnosed with autism, making it a widespread issue that touches all of our lives in some way – whether within our families, among friends, or among coworkers. At MC Companies, our aim is to ensure that individuals affected by autism have access to essential information, resources, and support, empowering them to lead vibrant and fulfilling lives.

In pursuit, we proudly endorse and collaborate with the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC). Through various initiatives, we consistently make significant contributions year after year.

Cystic Fibrosis

MC Companies Sharing The Good Life Foundation (SGL) serves as a national Corporate sponsor for Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is a truly insidious disease that deprives many individuals of the opportunity to lead a full, healthy life. This progressive, genetic condition leads to persistent lung infections and gradually impairs the ability to breathe. Given that members of the MC Family have been personally affected by this condition, supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation holds a special place in our organization’s heart.

The complexity of CF results in a wide range of severity in symptoms, which can vary substantially from person to person. In the past, a child diagnosed with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school. However, thanks to the relentless efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, many now have the chance to achieve their dreams of attending college, pursuing careers, getting married, and having children.

Since its inception in 1955, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been at the forefront of advancements in science and treatments to combat CF. MC Companies is deeply devoted to this organization and actively participates in various annual event, including Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides walks in Arizona and Texas.

We welcome you to join us in our efforts to improving the lives of those impacted by autism and cystic fibrosis. By getting informed and actively participating, you too can make a meaningful difference in these worthy causes.

Move For Hunger

In 2020, MC Companies Sharing the Good Life Foundation and the nonprofit organization Move For Hunger joined forces in a new partnership to combat hunger and reduce food waste nationwide.

During moves, a significant amount of perfectly good food often goes to waste. Move For Hunger has built a network of moving companies, multifamily apartment communities, and leading relocation management companies, all of whom volunteer to collect unopened, non-perishable food items. This collected food is then delivered to local food banks, ensuring it reaches those in need.

MC Companies actively backs Move For Hunger’s food rescue initiatives and continuous food drives as part of their partnership. They also advocate for the integration of the Move For Hunger model into the moving-out process for residents within their properties associations.
