If you watch the video above, you will meet Miles. Miles is a 3 ½ year old boy that is affected by autism. He is an adorable, vibrant, playful, intelligent little boy with the world ahead of him. While autism undoubtedly changes the way he approaches and sees the world, he is capable of as much as any other child. Who does he remind you of?

When Miles was 18 months old he was diagnosed with Autism. When his mother heard the news, like most parents, she was scared and unsure of where to go or what to do. But luckily, his mother found the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), and enrolled him in the JumpStart© program.

JumpStart©, is leading the fight in early intervention programs for autism spectrum disorder. JumpStart©, is a 5 week course for parents, caregivers and children that have been diagnosed with or are at risk of autism spectrum disorder up to six years old.

The Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) has created this innovative program understanding that no diagnosis is the same and the earlier a child begins treatment, the better the chance they have of a high quality, independent life.

JumpStart© serves 60-80 families a year and currently has a 6 month wait list. The demand for this program is growing drastically and SARRC needs your help to serve more children. SARRC, a not for profit community-based organization, does not have funding to expand this effective andhighly regarded early intervention program.

We have created the Jumpstart 4 Autism Campaign to raise awareness about the importance of early detection, early intervention and to raise awareness for innovative programs like Jumpstart.

The total cost for SARRC to provide this evidence-based program to each family is $2,000.  Scholarships, are available to help parents pay for the program – which are made possible by private grants and donations, but families are asked to pay $500.

SARRC relies on the generosity of donors to cover the remaining $1,500 of the program cost. In order to serve more young children, we need your help to raise at least $160,000.

Think for a moment – who do you know that is affected by autism? Your own child? A niece or nephew? A family friend? A co-worker? Think of these individuals and make a donation today and let help the 3 million children in the United States that are affected by autism.
